Adding 3rd Party Cookies

Currently, to create your MashApp account you'll need to  allow 3rd party cookies from google. You can choose to either allow all 3rd party cookies or create an exception just for google. Each browser handles these cookies/exceptions differently. Below you'll find a list of common browsers and how to best update them to allow for the cookies. 

Chrome

Allow exception for Google

If you allow cookies by default, you can still block them for a certain site.

  1. On your computer, open Chrome.
  2. At the top right, click More More and then Settings.
  3. At the bottom, click Show advanced settings.
  4. In the "Privacy" section, click Content settings.
  5. Under "Cookies," click Manage exceptions.
  6. Under "Hostname pattern," enter accounts.google.com
  7. Under "Behavior," select Allow.
  8. At the bottom right, click Done.

Allow All Cookies

  1. On your computer, open Chrome.
  2. At the top right, click More More and then Settings.
  3. At the bottom, click Show advanced settings.
  4. In the "Privacy" section, click Content settings.
  5. Under "Cookies," choose to allow local data.
  6. At the bottom right, click Done.

Firefox

Allow exception for Google

  1. Click the menu button New Fx Menu and choose Preferences.
  2. Select the Privacy panel.
  3. Set Firefox will: to Use custom settings for history.
  4. Check mark from Accept cookies from sites.
  5. Click on Exceptions
  6. Enter accounts.google.com in Address of website and click Allow
  7. Save Changes
  8. Close the about:preferences page. Any changes you've made will automatically be saved.

Allow all Cookies

  1. Click the menu button New Fx Menu and choose Preferences.
  2. Select the Privacy panel.

  3. Set Firefox will: to Use custom settings for history
  4. Check mark Accept cookies from sites to enable cookies.
  5. Choose how long cookies are allowed to be stored:
    1. Keep until:
      they expire: Each cookie will be removed when it reaches its expiration date, which is set by the site that sent the cookie.
      I close Firefox: The cookies that are stored on your computer will be removed when Firefox is closed. 
  6. Close the about:preferences page. Any changes you've made will automatically be saved.

Safari

Allow exception for Google

1. Choose Preferences from the Safari menu. 

2. Click Privacy.

3. Choose allow from the current website only or Allow from websites I visit depending on your preference.

3. Choose Always allow.
